Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our complete moving and setup services. If your question isn't answered here, contact us directly.

Our pricing is based on apartment size rather than hourly rates. We assess your current home during the initial consultation to determine volume and complexity. This allows us to provide a fixed price quote that covers all services: packing materials, labor, transport, insurance, unpacking, setup, and material removal.

The fixed-price model eliminates uncertainty. You know the total cost upfront with no surprise charges. Factors considered include apartment size, number of rooms, amount of belongings, any special items requiring extra care, and distance between locations.

Complete setup means your home is fully functional when we finish. This includes unpacking all boxes, placing items in agreed locations, furniture positioning according to pre-planned layout, bed assembly and making, kitchen organization with dishes and cookware arranged, closet assembly and clothing organization, bathroom setup with towels and toiletries accessible, basic appliance connections, and complete removal of all packing materials.

The goal is for you to sleep comfortably your first night without searching through boxes or dealing with moving debris. Everything is in place and ready to use.

Timeline depends on home size and complexity. A one-bedroom apartment typically completes in one full day—packing in the morning, transport midday, unpacking and setup in the afternoon. Larger homes may require two days: one for packing and transport, a second for complete unpacking and setup.

During the initial consultation, we provide a clear timeline estimate for your specific situation. We schedule appropriately to ensure thorough completion without rushing, because our standard is a fully functional home, not just transported boxes.

Your presence is required at the beginning and end of the move, but not necessarily throughout. At the start, we need you to answer questions and provide any last-minute instructions. At the end, we conduct a walkthrough together to ensure everything is placed correctly and you're satisfied.

During the middle phases—packing, transport, and initial unpacking—many clients choose to handle other moving-related tasks like paperwork, utility setup, or simply taking a break. Because we've pre-planned furniture placement and organization, we can work independently for most of the process.

Comprehensive insurance coverage is included with every move. Your belongings are protected throughout packing, transport, and unpacking. Coverage details are clearly explained in your service agreement before we begin.

We also protect your property—both current and new homes. Floor runners prevent damage to flooring, door jamb padding protects frames, and we use careful handling techniques throughout. Our goal is zero damage, but insurance provides peace of mind if the unexpected occurs.

Fragile and valuable items receive special attention throughout the process. We use appropriate packing materials—bubble wrap, packing paper, and specialized boxes. Artwork, mirrors, and delicate objects can be custom-crated when necessary for maximum protection.

These items are clearly marked and handled with extra care during transport. They're typically loaded last and unloaded first to minimize handling. Electronics are packed with cables organized and labeled for easy reconnection. During the initial consultation, we discuss any items requiring special handling so we can plan appropriately.

Yes, we can transport items you've packed yourself. However, our complete service works more effectively when we handle all packing. This is because our labeling system and packing methodology directly support the organized unpacking and setup process.

If you prefer to pack some items yourself—perhaps personal documents or valuable items you want to handle directly—that's fine. Just understand that self-packed boxes won't have our systematic labeling, which may affect how efficiently we can unpack and organize those items in your new home.

We handle coordination with apartment buildings regularly and understand the requirements. This includes scheduling elevator reservations, arranging parking for moving vehicles, and working within building-specific regulations and time restrictions.

During the initial consultation, we discuss any building requirements at both your current and new locations. We then handle the necessary coordination with building administration. This experience means smooth operations on moving day without administrative complications.

Our service focuses on complete relocation from one home to another. We don't provide long-term storage facilities. However, if your move-in and move-out dates don't align perfectly, we can discuss short-term solutions or recommend storage providers we've worked with.

The goal of our service is to move you directly into an organized, functional home. If storage is needed, it's handled separately from the moving service itself.

We recommend scheduling at least two to three weeks in advance, particularly during busy moving seasons. This allows time for the initial consultation, detailed planning, and ensuring we have appropriate team availability for your move date.

However, we understand that sometimes moves happen on shorter notice. Contact us even if your timeline is tight—we'll do our best to accommodate your schedule while maintaining our service quality standards.

The initial consultation involves visiting your current home to assess volume, identify any special requirements, and discuss your specific needs. We walk through each room, noting furniture, belongings, and any items requiring special handling.

We also discuss your new home's layout and begin planning furniture placement. This consultation allows us to provide accurate pricing and timeline estimates. It's also an opportunity for you to ask questions and ensure our service aligns with your expectations.

Yes, we offer flexible scheduling including weekends and, when building regulations allow, evening moves. We understand that many people need to coordinate moves around work schedules or building restrictions.

During consultation, we discuss your scheduling needs and any constraints from apartment buildings. We work to find timing that accommodates your schedule while meeting building requirements and allowing us to deliver our complete service properly.

This is why we review your new home's layout and plan furniture placement before moving day. We discuss measurements and space constraints during consultation to identify any potential fit issues in advance.

If something unexpectedly doesn't fit or work in the new space, we discuss options with you during the move. Sometimes furniture can be positioned differently, or you may decide certain items need different placement than originally planned. Our flexible approach allows adjustments while maintaining the goal of a functional, organized home.

We handle basic appliance connections that are part of standard moving: connecting washing machines to existing water lines, plugging in and leveling refrigerators, and setting up other standard appliances for immediate use.

Complex installations requiring specialized plumbing or electrical work beyond standard connections would need separate contractors. We're clear about what's included in our service versus what requires specialized technical work. During consultation, we discuss your appliances and clarify what we'll handle.

We understand that moving plans sometimes change. Our cancellation and rescheduling policies are explained clearly in your service agreement. Generally, we ask for reasonable notice to allow us to adjust scheduling and potentially accommodate other clients.

The specific terms depend on how close to your scheduled move date the change occurs. Contact us as soon as you know plans are changing, and we'll work with you to find a solution.
